Urban Artist RubN Dreams Big With ‘Cuentale A El’ | VIDEO
Move over Farruko and Maluma, because RubN is the youngest urban artist to step in the biz. The 19-year-old singer, born Ruben David Marrero González in Havana, Cuba, is someone who is ambitious and won’t stop until he accomplishes his dreams.
“My dream is to be successful in the industry and touch the hearts of many people with my music,” RubN told PulsoPOP.
His road to stardom began since as early as the age of 3 when he would jam to the music of Daddy Yankee, Don Omar and Hector “El Father.” “I began singing in my house. When I came to the U.S., I was in the school’s band and everyone always said I had a good ear for music. That’s when I decided that singing was for me,” the Miami resident said.
With his muscular built, light eyes and handsome looks, RubN entered the urban music world with his first single “Cuentale A El.” “I recorded it a while back. Then I released the official music video on YouTube and it’s been really good,” he said of his hit single.
“Cuentale a El” forms part of RubN’s debut studio album called “Commencement” slated for a release in the fall of 2015. “It’s the beginning of my career,” he said of his first production which includes collaborations from artists such as Eli Jas, Nova and Jason Cerda.
“It’s exciting,” RubN said of being one of the new faces in the music biz. “Knowing that someday I’ll be a part of this, makes me feel good.”
